Industrial Mechanic

Job Summary

Candidates work on bench assemblies, putting together components with hardware.? Brazing & soldering of manifolds, copper pipe/tube and fittings together using oxy/propylene fuel. Position requires manual dexterity and strength to shape, cut, and to bend copper bus bar for assembly, the ability to build furnace or coil assemblies in a proficient and timely manner and to meet all specifications.? Assemblies are small in nature requiring minimal heavy lifting.? MIG and/or TIG welding experience is a plus. HVAC is a plus.??


  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Technical certifications or related training?

Essential Functions

  • Math skills - adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and working with fractions.

  • Able to read measuring devices - rulers, tape measures, squares, levels, Vernier?s, and formulas.

  • Mechanical aptitude - able to use and operate power tools, i.e.: band saw, shear, hydraulic press, hydraulic bender, drill press, table disk sander, etc.

  • Responsible in the handling and care of equipment and tools.

  • Able to read and comprehend mechanical drawings, schematics and specifications.

  • Maintain a safe working environment for oneself and co-workers at all times.

  • Perform general housekeeping as required.

  • Regular in attendance and able and willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime.

  • Willing to attend classes/training to improve basic skills and non-essential functions.

  • Will handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.??

Non-Essential Functions

  • Able to operate overhead crane, drive a forklift and pallet truck.

  • Know proper size tips for brazing and soldering sticks.

  • Able to demonstrate good soldering, brazing and welding skills.

  • Able to see, have good perception, and distinguish between colors.

  • Able to stand, climb, and bend for 8-10 hours.

  • Have good strength and be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

  • Quick hand and arm movement, or the movement of both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

  • Listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences.

  • Communicate information and ideas, both written and verbally so others will understand.

  • Hold a valid driver's license and able to drive an automobile.

  • Able to travel on short notice by public transportation including (i.e.: aircrafts, trains, bus, cars) domestically and internationally.

Non-Essential Physical Requirements

  • Must disclose any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.

  • The maximum weight to be lifted will be based on NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) guidelines based on specific lift condition.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
